Music Video analysis

Nasty Girl (Negative)

Nasty girl is a song composed to tribute the passing of the notorious BIG, featuring in this video was a lot of famous singers who had close relations to the BIG himself. I have chose this song because the lyrics are very strong against women. In the video the males are turning up to what seems to be a club and are all seen with women. This shows that too these men women are seen as an object to boost their own ego. Most of the lyrics are about women having sex with the men, the men seem to not acknowledge the women when they are walking which shows that the men are seeming more dominant.

Miss Independent (Positive)

In this song which is from Ne-yo he sings about how independent and beautiful women are. At the start of the song he is walking into work giving out friendly compliments to women as he walks through the workplace. Though in this song he looks at girls he sees them as beautiful and appreciates their beauty.
in the lyric "She moves like the boss" shows that he respects her as in charge and recognizes her authority and respects her as a woman.

    23 (Negative)

23 which is performed by Miley Cyrus, Mike Will and Wiz Khalifa has hit the charts. In this video Miley is shown what looks like she is smoking a joint in the girls toilets, she is also wearing a very revealing outfit and licking her lips seductively.  She represents a schoolgirl who is smoking marijuana. Wiz is also seen in the science labs making potions which seem to be getting him high. Whilst all this is happening a pair of men break into the head teachers office and start playing beats through the microphone this puts Miley on the spot because she is being followed by a lot of teenage girls/boys who may think of this as acceptable.
